Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani (Big Water) is a spot around Shillong where a massive hydro-electric dam has been constructed across the Umiam river stream. The confluence of the two streams Umkhrah and Umshvrpi form the Wah Ro-ro stream in the north-west of the town and joins River Umiam, the main source of water for the lake. Kayaking, Water cycling/ scooting and boating are a few of the facilities available at the Umiam Lake.

Umlawan Cave.. :- With Travel Themes you can get an opportunity to visit Umlawan Cave, which is in the Lumshnong Village, near Jowai. The Umlawan cave is inter¬connected with two other caves namely Kot-Sati and Umskor caves. The total length of these caves is more than 21 kms and about 100 m in depth. They are also called Gersoppa Falls and Jogada Gundi. Jog Falls is created by the Sharavathi River falling from a height of 253 m (830 ft), making it the second-highest plunge waterfall in India.
During summers the waterfall will reduce to small narrow streams while during monsoon and winters it will be roaring with water. The best season to visit this waterfall is the monsoons when this gigantic body displays its maximum charm.

Kodachadri :- Kodachadri is a mountain peak with dense forests in the Western Ghats in South India . It is declared as natural heritage site by Government Karnataka. The mountain peak of Kodachadri forms the picturesque background for the Sri Mookambika Temple of Kollur. The Sarvagna Peetha or the highest point among these hills offers a majestic view of sunset. During sunset the Arabian sea can be viewed from the sunset point. Trekking in Kodachadri can be an Adventurous and Spiritual experience.
B R Hills :- The Biligiriranga Hills, commonly called B R Hills, is a hill range situated in south-eastern Karnataka. The area is called Biligiriranga Swamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary or simply BRT Wildlife Sanctuary. BR Hills is a tourist’s paradise. The rich vegetation of BR Hills in turn supports a wide variety of fauna. There are a lot of different types of animals roaming lazily through the forests of the region.
The B.R hills also link the Eastern Ghats and the Western Ghats, allowing animals to move between them. This linking facilitates gene flow between the populations of species in these areas. The Butterfly Beach

The Butterfly beach is a beautiful beach situated towards the
north of the Palolem beach.This place is simply awesome and nice..

the question is where is it? If you want to make it there.. there is
only one way.. water. Butterfly beach does not have any accommodation
& can be reached by hired boat or a hired kayak if you feel
adventurous. You can also hire a boat to go birding on the Backwaters
which are located on North side of Palolem. Early morning would be a
great time for Birding.
The isolation is a blessing in disguise
as the island offers visitors a solitary charm and the thrills of any
other Goan beach sans the overcrowded stretches of shorelines. The
dolphins are extra acrobatic in the waters surrounding the island.
